Since 2018 Cuatro Puntos Ensemble has been working with legendary santur virtuoso Dariush Saghafi and Iranian composer Reza Vali to explore and uplift ancient-meets-modern musical traditions of Persia (present-day Iran). After five years of collaboration, the album Sounds of Persia with Dariush Saghafi and Cuatro Puntos Ensemble will be released in April 2023 on Arkadash Records. To celebrate this occasion we invite you to join Cuatro Puntos Ensemble for an evening of string quartets by contemporary Iranian composers, with a special emphasis on compositions by six Iranian women. This performance includes a special guest appearance by middle-eastern virtuoso Ameen Mokdad.
