ACTIVE PROGRAMS FOR 2022-2023:

Life Without Music - Exploring cultural rights using the story of music in Iraq. Aligns with core standards in English Language Arts and Social Studies. In-classroom workshop.  We are approved "Hartford Performs" teaching artists- Read more and view academic standards by visiting our program page. (1 visit, 60 minute workshop, grades 3-12) Taught by Ameen Mokdad. Available April 2023 - June 2023
Standard cost: $200 per classroom

Deconstructing Music: Building a Song Using Sound Wave Science- Learn about the overtone series, and use the knowledge of vertical harmony and horizontal melody to compose a song. In-classroom workshop.   We are approved "Hartford Performs" teaching artists- Read more and view academic standards by visiting our program page. (1 visit, 60 minute workshop, grades 3-12). Available anytime.

The Music of Florence Price- Learn about one of the first prominent black female American composers, and hear her Five Folksongs in Counterpoint performed by string quartet. (1 visit, 45 minute concert, any grade level), Available anytime. 
Standard cost: $800 per assembly-style performance. 

Introducing The String Quartet- Learn about the instruments of the string quartet (violin, viola, cello) and hear various selections performed by quartet. (1 visit, 45-60 minute concert, grades K-5). Available anytime
Standard cost: $800 per assembly-style performance. 

General masterclass/coaching by members of Cuatro Puntos Ensemble- for orchestra classes. Any level. available anytime.
